Picking Guide: September 26-30, 2012

24 09 2012

Apple season is here!

We will be open Wednesday Sept 26 to Sunday Sept 30, from 9am – 6pm, for PYO.

Apples: $1.00 / lb. (Rome, Mutsu, Golden Delicious, & Red Delicious)

Update: We also have fresh-pressed raw cider, $8 / gallon, $2.50 / pint.

Note that all fruits that have dropped (suitable for baking and cooking, not eating raw) are half-price by the pound, but if you pick a whole bucket you get a volume price. This is ONLY for drops.  Good deal for you canners and bakers.  Obviously, wash these fruits before cooking.  To repeat, these are not suitable for eating raw.

Containers are provided. No dogs please.  No credit cards.  Cash or checks only.

Please enter from the SECOND driveway from the traffic circle, not the first. See map page for more details.

Come, picnic, walk the orchards, and enjoy a day on the farm.

How long do you anticipate you will have the fresh raw cider available?

Hard to say. Could be 2 weeks to 2 months. Depends on conditions.
