I’d like to come pick apples and maybe pumpkins with my son and maybe a few of our friends during the day on a weekday (before Oct. 15). Is U-Pick open on the weekdays?

We will be open weekdays from 9 am to 1 pm until October 15.

Hello,
We were hoping to come the weekend of Oct. 24th. Will there still be apples then? And do we need to make reservations?

Hard to say, really. At this point I’d say we have plenty of apples and expect to be picking through Halloween. We are dealing with nature, however, and the trees could start dropping their apples faster than we expect. Stay tuned to our website home page – we update the conditions every week on Thursday.

Do you offer hayrides? If so, how much do they cost?

5 10 2009
Uta Brown

We will be offering interpretive hayrides on 17 and 18 October only, at 12, 2, and 4 pm. The rides last 45 minutes and they are free. We never charge admission and parking is always free. Hay rides are first-come, first served, no reservations are accepted (we are too busy in the orchard.)

Are you open on Sundays? Also, is your apple cider “raw” cider and what apples is the cider made from?

Thanks,

Scott Wise

Our cider is 100% raw, unfiltered, unpasteurized, with no added water, sugar or anything else. We press golden delicious apples into containers – it is that simple. And the results are fantastic!

Do you have any ability to help get someone with a broken leg out to the orchard? She can walk on crutches but I think it would be difficult for her to walk out there. Do you have a Gator or something similar? Thanks!

We have some apples relatively close to the parking lot, say about 50 yards. Unfortunately we don’t have any small vehicles for running about the orchard – we prefer to walk rather than create more vehicle emissions. Your friend will need some assistance getting to the closest apples, which I think will be manageable if you take it easy. The grass is low and we have a tractor path to the nearest trees.

Do we need to bring bags or baskets to pick our own apple or do you provide them?

Uta Brown

We provide everything you’ll need. ;)
